Gabby and John’s military wedding was full of lush greenery, mismatched jewel toned bridesmaid dresses, and all the partying you can imagine.
While Gabby was a bit suspicious, she had no idea her proposal would happen on the day that it did. John told her they were going to lunch with friends, but ended up walking through a park in Austin that held sentimental meaning to them. John stopped on a beautiful bridge overlooking the trees, and popped the question! He also planned for their parents and Gabby’s best friend to be there, who came out from hiding to celebrate with the couple shortly after.
Gabby and John fell in love with Hidden River Ranch because of the immediate peace they felt on the property. It was so calming to be out on the ranch with so much space around them. From the first impression of the gorgeous gates and animals at the front of the property, to the venue that was perfectly designed with every wedding day detail in mind, it’s safe to say they were obsessed. Gabby and John also loved the cozy lodging on site for their close family and friends to stay in. To top it all off, HRR is owned by the sweetest people. Lauren and Taylor are truly so kind and they make you feel so taken care of throughout the whole process. All in all, it was the perfect venue to host their military wedding!
In addition to having a relaxing vibe, Hidden River Ranch was also the perfect canvas for a greenery filled reception. Gabby loves the warm and cozy tone that greenery creates, so this design feature was a priority from the beginning. On top of adding a touch of color and texture, the greenery brought more life into the room. Their florist, Mabry, owner of The Flowered Blue, went on to recommend that they bring this feature into the chapel for the ceremony as well. It was the perfect way to make the day feel cohesive, and add warmth and color to each space!
Gabby and John’s favorite part of the day was simply being around all of their favorite people. While the girls were partying it up in the bridal suite, the guys were out skeet shooting on the ranch. The whole day was non-stop fun. Some of Gabby’s favorite memories were the dances and speeches. She even had a dance with her younger brother, and it was absolutely one of her favorite parts of the day. “Those moments were overflowing with love and joy, and I will remember them forever.” – Gabby
The couple also had a first look where they exchanged private vows, and took a moment with their wedding parties to pray before the ceremony.
To contrast the simple greens and whites of the florals, the bridesmaids wore mismatched dresses in jewel tones. The different colors paired perfectly with the groomsmen’s attire, most of which were in Air Force uniforms! To tie it all in, Gabby chose fluffy white bouquets for each of her girls.
Every single one of the vendors were beyond amazing. Gabby and John could not have picked a better team for their big day. Their photographer, Abby, was one of the MVPs. She captured all the sweetest moments and details, and her presence throughout our day brought the couple and their loved ones so much joy and laughter. Phil from Premier Entertainment, was also incredible. The guests loved him, and were so complimentary of the way he helped the reception flow and kept the dance floor alive all night.
“Working with Bianca Nichole and Co was truly such a blessing. Maci was always so kind and patient, and provided me with so many organizational tools and check-ins to keep me on track throughout wedding planning. Wedding day was so peaceful because of her. Every member of my family and bridal party went on and on, not only about how great she was at her job, but also how gracious she is as a person. I had so many guests raving about how well-ran the wedding was from start to finish, and that is such a testament to the expertise of Maci and all of Bianca Nichole and Co.” – Gabby, bride
