When owners Kenzie and Joey were engaged and looking for their own wedding venue, they found it difficult to find a space in the Austin area that wasn’t rustic or farmhouse inspired. They ended up choosing an estate style venue in Dallas, but their challenging search sparked the idea to open a modern style venue in Austin. RoseBridge Estate was originally a family ranch. The initial family did build a venue on their property, but ultimately decided to enter the restaurant business instead. The venue sat until 2022, when Kenzie and her husband, Joey, purchased the property.
Deciding to keep the footprints of the reception and ceremony buildings, they tore everything down besides the foundations. Beginning in 2023, they rebuilt the venue with a more modern look to appeal to current couples. Construction was officially completed in April of 2024 and RoseBridge Estate will host their first weddings this summer!
The name ‘RoseBridge Estate’ is a nod to the gorgeous bridge that leads couples and their guests over the pond into the ceremony space. The bridge makes for an unforgettable walk down the aisle!
Kenzie and Joey’s long-term goal is to own multiple venues one day. They plan to include “rose” in each of the venue names, along with something that makes that property special. “Rose” is a family name, Kenzie’s middle name, and the name of a family member of hers that passed away right before they started this venture. Including “rose” is Kenzie’s way of passing along a name passed on to me, honoring her lost family member who was their biggest fan, the first to celebrate others, and always such a light!
Every decision Kenzie and Joey made when designing RoseBridge Estate was carefully thought out with couples and vendors in mind. Overall, they considered the flow of a wedding day, photos, and customizability. A few of their favorite features are the iconic bridge and the lounge area just off the reception space. This area has ample amounts of included lounge furniture, a gorgeous chandelier, and glass doors that can be closed for wedding guests to have a seat away from the music if desired, or opened for smooth flow.
The ceremony building is also unique in structure, being wider than it is long. The chairs fit best in a “U” shape, or a runway style, which creates an intimate feeling ceremony. This space also has white ceilings and a ton of natural light for stunning photos, as well as a bell tower at the back wall for couples to ring after the ceremony. Other fun features include an indoor fountain, 7 chandeliers, floor to ceiling windows, a beautiful pond, and 40-acres of land for outdoor ceremonies, tented receptions, or photos.
There are 3 separate buildings on property, and a variety of outdoor spaces. The getting-ready house is on the top of the hill, overlooking the reception and ceremony spaces. This house has two getting ready suites, two kitchens, and an indoor courtyard with a fountain.
The second building, the indoor ceremony space, is located next to the pond. This structure holds 225 guests, and has a working bell tower. There are also two options for couples who prefer an outdoor ceremony. For guest counts over 50, the garden has a brick path for an aisle and an arch of vines for the couple to get married under. Smaller guest counts can utilize the patio in front of the ceremony building, allowing the couple to still use the iconic bridge.
The third building is the reception space. This round building can seat 275 guests, with room for a dance floor. There is a large built-in bar, lounge space, and restrooms. Both the ceremony and reception buildings are modern and Ralph Lauren inspired, with floor-to-ceiling windows and huge chandeliers. It’s also possible to host an indoor ceremony here.
As for additional outdoor spaces, there is a courtyard directly outside of the reception space. This area has a fountain and is a perfect option for cocktail hour.
Like most Austin wedding venues, RoseBridge Estate requires couples to use a professional planner or coordinator. Events run smoother, the couple’s experience is more stress-free, and a guest has a better time at an event with a planner/coordinator! Check out this blog to see how valuable a wedding planner really is.
Outside of requiring a planner or coordinator, couples must also choose from their bar and catering partners. The options include a range of price points and cuisines. Beyond that, RoseBridge allows any vendor the couple is interested in! They provide a recommended list of vendors for each category to serve as a starting point, but couples can ultimately choose whoever they want.
“Best piece of planning advice to couples: “My husband and I sat down and both decided on which three things we cared about the most for our wedding (for example I cared about having a band, and he cared about having an open bar). After we shared those with each other, we made sure that our budget reflected these items. It was a good reminder that when we went to plan a part of our wedding we both decided wasn’t important to us, we made sure not to overspend on those things!” Kenzie, owner
