After a chance meeting at a motocross race in Indiana, Jillian and Justin knew they were meant to be. Despite never having visited Austin before, they trusted their instincts and booked their wedding at The Arlo in Austin, Texas. Their modern white wedding day was full of elegant florals and personalized touches.

The Love Story

Jillian is from Northwest Arkansas and Justin is from Long Island, New York. Jillian’s brother, who used to ride dirt bikes, was prepping to do a race in Indiana. Jillian went along, and just happened to meet Justin, who is a professional motocross racer. The pair went to dinner together the first night in Indiana, and the rest is history! About 6 months after that, they moved to California together.

Justin proposed on the beach in Florida, just a couple hours away from their house. Jillian’s best friend flew in to surprise her and celebrate. Justin hired a photographer to secretly capture photos during the proposal. It was very simple, intimate, and sweet. Afterwards, the couple celebrated with good food, friends and of course, champagne! They now split their time between California and Florida. Though neither had ever been to Austin before, it turned out to be the perfect setting for their white wedding day.

Choosing The Arlo in Austin Texas

Originally, the couple was interested in getting married in Miami. After deeper consideration, the bride decided she was too concerned with the potential humidity, and opened her mind to other locations. Her best friend shared a TikTok of The Arlo and said “this screams your name!” After watching the video, Jillian immediately sent it to her mom. A week later, the couple booked it. It was exactly what they were looking for. It’s modern, timeless, and classy – the perfect setting for their white wedding.

Up until a month and a half before their wedding, the couple had never even been to Austin. Their first visit was to finalize all of the final details with florals and decor. Jillian and Justin took a big risk, and just trusted the process! They had only ever heard of good things about Austin, and in the end, are so glad they chose the location.

White Wedding Details

To enhance the modern venue, Stems Floral Design crafted fluffy white floral arrangements for the ceremony and reception. Jillian particularly loved the garden roses that reminded her of peonies! To bring a bit more of a modern touch to their outdoor ceremony, we bought in a white acrylic runner. Since Jillian and Justin would soon have the same initials, they chose to add a custom “JC” decal for a unique touch. Their guests especially loved the Froze bar during cocktail hour!

The Party

After a golden first dance as newlyweds, the couple kicked off the party with a champagne tower. Their guests hit the dance floor with Aperol Spritz in hand, and danced the night away. Before leaving in their vintage car, the couple exited through a tunnel of cold sparks.
