Sydney, originally from Houston, and Jake, a New York native, desired a wedding location that would serve as a destination for their loved ones. After friends introduced them to South Congress Hotel, they knew they had found their dream venue. Soon after, they began planning their Austin wedding. Sydney and Jake were captivated by its elegance during a virtual tour. When they saw it in person, their hearts were sold. Sydney’s heart set on an outdoor ceremony and the desire for an indoor/outdoor ambience, South Congress effortlessly embodied their vision. To add a touch of excitement, Sydney entertained the idea of having a mechanical bull. We worked closely with the team to set up the bull while guests were inside for dinner. After eating, we opened the curtains to reveal the surprise! The mechanical bull was the perfect touch to their unforgettable Austin wedding.

To dress up the space, Stems brought in beautiful bold flowers. The floral arrangements, crafted by the talented Hannah at Stems, mesmerized guests and continue to be praised long after the celebration. The chuppah, a symbol of their union, was an absolute masterpiece, surpassing their wildest expectations. Sydney’s self-proclaimed neuroses, fueled by her passion for perfection, led her to share countless flower photos from New York floral shops with Hannah. Fortunately, Hannah’s patience and understanding ensured that the floral arrangements were nothing short of spectacular.
The Entertainment
No wedding celebration is complete without the perfect music and entertainment. Jake and Sydney entrusted their vision to DJ Miles, who flawlessly brought their musical preferences to life. Despite Sydney’s multitude of Spotify playlists sent in a moment of pre-wedding nerves, Miles remained flexible and attuned to their desired vibe. His ability to understand their musical preferences ensured that the dance floor was never empty, leaving guests with unforgettable memories.
