Romantic Summer Wedding at The Arlo
When the romance began
A few years before their romantic summer wedding at The Arlo, Allison and Chandler met at a CrossFit gym while in college. If you know the stereotypes of CrossFitters, you’ll be happy to know that every speech, their cocktail napkins, and officiant’s service all reminded the guests that the couple does CrossFit. They started off as friends getting to know each other, but started dating the summer before Allison’s junior and Chandler’s senior years of college!
The Proposal
In April of 2021, the couple stopped at a winery on their way to dinner. Chandler told Allison to get dressed up, which she thought was odd given the typical vibe of the dinner restaurant. After they did a quick tasting to decide what wine we wanted, Chandler asked Allison to walk around the winery. When they turned a corner, Chandler grabbed her hands and started telling her how much he loved her, and off to the side, Allison saw their friend (and photographer!) Albert Suarez. That’s when she knew it was really happening. Chandler got down on one knee and formally proposed, and of course Allison said yes! The couple went back inside where Allison found both of their families waiting – it was an incredible moment that instantly brought her tears! Not long afterwards, they began planning their romantic summer wedding at The Arlo.

The perfect summer wedding venue
After touring a few other Austin venues, Chandler and Allison went to their final tour at The Arlo. From the moment they arrived, they knew it was the perfect fit for their summer wedding. It had all the features they were looking for: a great location, plenty of space, a modern vibe. A huge bonus were the 2 getting ready spaces. They wanted to get ready on site, and have plenty of space for their wedding parties. The staff at The Arlo was also a wonderful perk! Their communication and assistance was top tier.

The First Look
One of the couple’s favorite moments of the day was their first look. Allison describes herself as an anxious bride, and knew that seeing Chandler was the only thing that would calm her nerves before the ceremony. It made all the difference for them! After their first look, Allison felt calm and full of joy – ready to get married!
Their Dances
Chandler loves to dance, so their first and last dances were extra special. Their friends and family being there to watch them dance for the first time as husband and wife was just the icing on the cake! During their private last dance, they were able to reminisce on the day together, and how their dream of a romantic summer wedding finally came to life. It was the best way to end the night!
The design
When they began planning, Allison and Chandler knew they wanted their design to showcase a romantic, summer wedding day. Allison’s favorite design piece was definitely their wedding cake. She had a vision for colorful, cascading flowers down an all white wedding cake, and it was brought to life perfectly by Serendipity Bakery and The Flower Girl. To top it off, Allison’s uncle hand made their cake stands, so everything about the cake set up was a perfect fit. They even had a little dog figurine to include their pup, River!

The Vendors
A few favorite vendors were Albert Suarez and the BNCo team. Albert did the best job and made Allison and Chandler feel so stress free about their day. BNCo and Albert worked hand in hand for the wedding design, and we have to admit it was a match made in heaven! Maci, the lead coordinator, worked seamlessly with Albert to move the timeline along as smoothly as possible. Allison says, “I know our day would not have been the same without them. They were my two must-have vendors from the start, and I cannot recommend them enough.”

“This may be cliche, but it’s so important to hear – your wedding day is about your marriage, and celebrating that union. It is so easy to get caught up in the details (I know I did!), and let the stress get to you.
