From the moment we arrived at Carolina Grove, we knew we had to share it with you!
Just 40 minutes from Raleigh, North Carolina, Carolina Grove features tree-filled groves, a stunning modern barn, oversized al fresco porch, and luxurious amenities. Carolina Grove is known for the surrounding natural beauty, tons of natural light for easy photographs (photographers love the space!) and how versatile and customizable the venue is. This is the type of venue and team that are here to support each couple along their planning journey. They are full of helpful tips, honest vendor recommendations, and happy to show your best friend the venue (again)!
Wanting to take advantage of the nature-based location with a modern and refined approach, Melissa designed + built Carolina Grove intentionally for weddings and events. With construction completed in 2020, Carolina Grove hosted their first year of events in 2021. The various spaces on the estate and overall clean aesthetic allow each event to be easily tailored to match any vision. Designed for seamless transition between indoors and out, Carolina Grove has an open-air concept. You get the best of both worlds!
The Welcome Lawn
Upon arrival, your guests are greeted with the stunning welcome lawn and flagstone patio. This space features year-round landscaping, creating beautiful backdrops for photographs. For an added warm welcome, you may choose to add on passed champagne or comfy lounge furniture.
The Ceremony Options
Carolina Grove’s ceremony courtyard is accented by soaring hardwood trees and slate flagstone walkways. Surrounded by nature, you’ll likely hear gentle bird-songs, or the peaceful rustle of leaves during your ceremony. The grand window wall allows the chandeliers to peek through, creating a beautiful backdrop for your ceremony processional.
Whether due to preference or inclement weather, the main barn is a gorgeous option for indoor ceremonies. The window wall allows amazing light to filter in, for effortless photographs and an airy feeling. The catering team and venue staff will then transition the ceremony into the reception space while your guests enjoy cocktail hour on the veranda or in the grove.
The Veranda + String-Lit Grove
Conveniently located on the rear side of the white barn, the oversized covered veranda is a beautiful space for hosting cocktail hour, rain or shine. Just off the covered veranda is the string-lit grove. This secluded space was designed with a European ambiance, featuring pea gravel and market lights. The grove is the perfect setting for photographs, sunset cocktail hours, or al fresco dinners.
The White Barn
Flooded with natural light, the indoor reception space lends itself to effortlessly gorgeous photographs and impactful receptions. Versatile styling allows each event to be unique in ambiance.
Heated + cooled for year-round comfort, the reception space can host up to 220 downstairs in the main space. An additional 40 guests can fit on the overlook loft.
Getting-Ready Suites
Carolina Grove contains two getting-ready suites, the Overlook Suite and the Grove Room. Upstairs, the Overlook Suite features an oversized picture window for perfect lighting, vaulted ceilings, and plenty of counter space and chairs for beauty needs. There’s even a back staircase heading directly to the side parking area for you and your wedding party to sneak in and out without accidentally running into your spouse before the first look!
Off the main reception space, separated by a private hallway, the Grove Room is spacious and accented with warm wood tones. The Grove Room connects directly to the string-lit grove (hence the name!), and to the Vault Lounge.
Amenities and Guidelines
In order for each wedding to be seamless, Carolina Grove has a variety of included amenities and guidelines to set you up for success. All couples are required to hire a professional day-of planner, whether from their in-house team or an outside company (like Bianca Nichole and Co! ;).
With your venue rental, you’ll also receive:
