Colorful Summer Wedding at The Arlo
The Arlo in Austin, Texas, is a clean, modern, canvas, making it perfect for any design! We worked with Isleisi and Matt to bring their bold, colorful wedding dreams to life, with nods of Mexican touches in honor of the bride’s heritage. In the early stages of planning their summer wedding, the couple considered several locations. While living in Texas, Austin was always the bride’s favorite city for weekend trips with friends. With her family living in central Texas, and the groom’s family traveling from out of state, they knew Austin would be the perfect destination for their guests.
The Details
To bring the design to life, we chose bold shades of magenta and orange to pop against the neutral venue. The warm color scheme kept the day feeling romantic and fun. In honor of the bride’s heritage, we worked with Suarez Creative to design a custom Mexican talavera tile inspired pattern. After perfecting the design, Albert used it throughout the invitations, to the welcome sign, seating chart and custom napkin rings for the head table! For more texture, we hung custom papel picado behind the cake and flanked the table with cacti and pink flowers.
To officially tie the knot, the couple took a shot of tequila and Sake in honor of their heritages coming together as one.
Advice for couples
“Take your time! There’s no need to put pressure on yourself in the planning process. Making all the wedding decisions should be enjoyed – not rushed.” Some of the bride’s favorite moments on wedding day include their private vows, and when they were able to sit and eat dinner together. The time they spent together allowed to breathe and soak in the day!
