After attending a Dallas Maverick’s game separately, Nicole and Mason met at a bar. They both were wearing Mav’s gear, which sparked a conversation, and they have been inseparable ever since. A short while later, they got married at Woodbine Mansion, in Round Rock, TX.
Their love story took them on an unforgettable journey, from that chance meeting in Dallas to the beautiful proposal in Denver. Nicole bought Mason tickets to a concert in Colorado for Christmas. The concert itself was not until May. Little did Nicole know, Mason realized that Denver would be the perfect place to propose and started planning. Before they left for Denver, Mason made reservations for a late dinner and told Nicole he wanted to go to a park to watch some live music beforehand. When they got to the park, Nicole quickly realized that there was not any live music. As they walked around admiring the park, Mason got down on his knee and proposed!
As they began planning their winter wedding, one venue stood out among the rest—Woodbine Mansion. When the couple started researching venues, they were all beautiful, but something about Woodbine Mansion stuck out. They did a FaceTime tour and immediately knew this was the venue. The couple actually ended up booking the venue before seeing it in person because they were so in love with it!
The wedding day was filled with countless beautiful moments, but a favorite memory the couple shares is their private moment after the ceremony. “We took a few minutes alone to soak in the joy and love surrounding us. It was a precious time that allowed us to appreciate the significance of the day before diving into the lively reception. Speaking of which, saying hello to all of our friends and family and dancing the night away with them was another highlight. And let’s not forget our private last dance—a truly special moment that perfectly wrapped up the night.”
When it came to the decor and floral arrangements, the couple was blown away by the creativity and beauty brought to life by our vendors. Nicole loved the stage flowers and custom dance floor, which added a touch of elegance and romance to Woodbine Mansion. Mason couldn’t help but admire Nicole’s stunning bouquet, a work of art in itself. The couple also appreciated the use of chargers to enhance the head table, adding variation and visual interest to the overall design.

Speaking of vendors, there were a few who went above and beyond to make the wedding day truly extraordinary. Their photographer, Reigh Walker, was simply amazing! With her diverse range of cameras, she captured every precious moment and delivered our photos promptly. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about her talent and professionalism. Another standout vendor was the florist, Evann from Root and Wilde. “She was friendly, attentive, and truly understood our vision. From the initial planning stages to the wedding day, she exceeded our expectations, creating floral arrangements that were beyond perfect.” And of course, Cap City Band brought the party to life with their high-energy performances and fantastic song selection. “We received numerous compliments on their incredible talent, and even one of our friends booked them for their own wedding!”
“Reflecting on our wedding planning journey, we have a few pieces of advice for future couples. First and foremost, remember to take care of yourselves throughout the process. Plan regular date nights or activities that allow you to step away from the wedding planning stress and focus on each other. Additionally, budgeting for some ‘cushion money’ is essential. Unexpected expenses may arise, or you may find that certain vendors exceed your initial budget. Having some flexibility in your budget will help alleviate any financial stress that may come along the way.”

She was prompt in answering our questions and provided visual mockups to help us make decisions.
