New to Austin and not knowing anyone, Luke decided going to a local bar was the perfect place to make friends and become familiar with the town. Molly happened to work at the bar, and Luke quickly became one of her favorite regulars. They eventually decided to meet up outside of her job, and soon realized they only lived a couple blocks apart and never stopped hanging out! It was only a matter of time before the two would be engaged and planning their disco cowgirl wedding at Mae’s Ridge.
Molly had been on high alert since her and Luke designed her ring together, so Luke had to get creative and sneaky to be able to pull off the perfect proposal. Molly manages Blue Bridal Boutique in Austin, and Luke decided to collaborate with her boss to plan the proposal while she was at work. While Molly was in the middle of a consultation, she brought her bride to the front salon mirror to see her gown in the natural light and there was Luke! Very caught off guard, both of their families were there hiding behind the desk to be there for the big surprise to celebrate.
The couple chose Mae’s Ridge as their venue for many reasons! On top of being the the most beautiful venue Molly had ever seen, it was also in the perfect location. However, the biggest selling point was the owners, Joell and Rick. Molly says they are both so kind, caring and helpful from the very beginning. From the initial tour to their big day, Molly and Luke knew they were in the best hands.
The bride’s favorite memory of her special day was their first dance together. Since both Molly and Luke didn’t want to be the center of attention for a full dance, they had the band announce invite all the other couples to join in. While guests were hesitant at first, everyone eventually joined, dancing alongside the bride and groom for their first time as husband and wife.
Bricolage brought Molly’s floral dreams to live with extravagant colors and disco balls. Their sweetheart table backdrop was custom made by their welding company and Samantha curated colorful florals to match the ceremony space. From Molly’s bold and colorful bouquet, to the disco ball accent pieces, and even ombre guest tables – it couldn’t have been more picture perfect! The design truly brought to life the disco cowgirl vibe Molly had dreamed of.
Molly truly hired the best vendor team to bring her disco cowgirl wedding to life. While the couple loved all of their vendors, Molly says it was a three way tie for their favorite. “Bianca Nichole and Co, Bricolage Curated Floral and Diana Ascarrunz Photography. But honestly- there wasn’t a single vendor who didn’t blow us away.” – Molly
Molly hired Bianca Nichole and Co because of Bianca’s ability to hear her ideas and turn them into reality. Knowing she had a unique vision for her disco cowgirl wedding, Bianca made sure to focus on that goal and truly bring Molly’s dreams to life. Another top factor was the constant communication with her and Luke, and also with the other vendors involved.
“The attention to detail! Bianca and Co made sure I always had a cold Dos XX in hand, and I never had to lift a finger or answer a question. They made my family and loved ones feel comfortable and at ease. I would describe myself as a highly anxious person and I can honestly say I was never stressed or overwhelmed on the big day.” – Molly
