After a beautiful church ceremony, Mercedes and Jeremy celebrated their marriage at The Courtyard at Gaslight Square in Corpus Christi, TX. It was the first day of June, with lots of sunshine and the perfect weather for a wedding.
This wedding was a long time coming for Mercedes and Jeremy who were High School AND College sweethearts. During the reception the Father of the Bride and a bridesmaid toasted the newlyweds and reminded them of the days when they first started dating. The speeches were so sweet and brought tears to my eyes seeing how loved the couple was and hearing how their love had changed and grown over time. Here are a few of my favorite details from their day.
Mercedes opted to do ALLL of the First Looks and I am a fan of it! She did a First Look with her bridesmaids, her dad and last but not least her groom.
The brides parents were married at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church so it meant a lot to the bride for her and Jeremy to have their ceremony there as well.
Vows and exchanging of rings.
The sweetest bridesmaid coming in clutch with the make up touches. A designated bridesmaid like this is so helpful on a hot summer day in Texas!
These favors were hand made keychains by the bride. It incorporated the couples love for wine by using wine corks and a personalized charm with the letter “B” for their new last name.
I always recommend for favors to be both personalized and functional for your guests. These keychains were the perfect favor that was personal to the couple but something guests could reuse to remember the wedding day.
Mercedes and Jeremy walked in with their wedding party for Grand Entrance to the song, Sucker by The Jonas Brothers.
The first dance as husband and wife was to the song, I Just Call You Mine by Martina McBride.
Mercedes and her father dance to My Girl by The Temptations.
Jeremy and his mother dance to Landslide by Fleetwood Mac
The bride and groom were High School and College sweethearts and they both graduated from Texas A&M University. The grooms cake was a custom mold of his Aggie ring. During the reception they also played the Aggie fight song and danced with their wedding party.
Both the wedding cake and grooms cake was made by Cakes 2 Dy 4.
