With Valentines Day quickly approaching I wanted to help you with some date night ideas other than the traditional dinner and a movie. I’m definitely not the type of girl who goes all out on Valentines Day with gifts, chocolate and flowers. However, I do believe you need to celebrate each other and spend quality time with a date night.
1. Live music
Find a local restaurant or bar that is having a band. Enjoy dinner and drinks, with live music, you may even discover a new favorite artist. Don’t forget to search for local concerts in your area as well.
2. Visit a Brewery or Winery
Taste some new brew flavors and see the process behind how your favorite beer or wine is made.
3. Cook Together
Find a new recipe on Pinterest or look into a service like Hello Fresh. Find a recipe you both like and try something new. Cooking together is an easy way to spend time together, build communication and see how you work together.
Hello Fresh is my favorite go to for dinner and spending quality time with my fiancé. You get to choose from pre designed recipes and all of the ingredients are delivered straight to your door. Really, it can’t get any easier. If you want to try Hello Fresh, you can sign up here. You will get $40 off your first box with my special code BIANICH
4. Comedy Show
I think a comedy show is one of the best forms of entertainment. Everyone enjoys a good laugh and I think this is something couples forget as a date night idea. Search for local comedy clubs in your area and give it a try!
5. Spend Time Outdoors
Save money and spend quality time with your significant other while enjoying some fresh air. Try out a new hiking trail, rent a kayak or find a new fishing spot.
6. Recreate your first date
Go back to the same restaurant or recreate your first date activity and reminisce about how you first met. Going back to these old memories is sure to remind you all the things you love about your significant other.
7. Outdoor Picnic
Set a blanket under the stars and open a bottle of wine. If you are able to, create an outdoor fire and make some smores. If the weather doesn’t allow, you can create a picnic in your living room as well.

8. Local Sports Game
Surely, your man will be happy when you pitch this idea and if you are a sports fan too, then even better! Bond over your favorite team or maybe you can find a game when your rival teams are playing each other.
9. Couples Massage
Whether you are in the wedding planning phase or have been married for years, every couple deserves some time to relax and release stress.
10. Couples Game Night
This is such a classic date night idea, but it never gets old. Pick out a few of your favorite games and invite some of your friends over. Maybe each couple can bring their favorite game so you have a variety of games to choose from.
Here are some of my favorites for Game Night:

11. Learn a new skill
Take a dance class, this would be perfect practice for your “First Dance” at the wedding. Take a painting or pottery class and add a new piece to your home.
12. At home movie night
Pick a new movie neither of you have seen or rewatch your favorite one. Go all out with popcorn and snacks and cuddle up by the couch.
